Civils Assistant Planner - (Closing date - 28/03/2025)

Overall Objective:

Maintaining the Contract Programme across a number of live Projects.  

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Qualification (Civil Engineering ONC/HNC minimum)
  • Minimum 1 years’ Experience within Civil Engineering - preferably Site based Experience
  • Good IT Skills
  • Basic user of Microsoft Project
  • CSCS card – minimum White Card
  • UK driving licence, Clean or low on points

  • Conducts themselves in a courteous and professional manner
  • Is open and honest, friendly, and approachable
  • Has a ‘can do / will do’ attitude
  • Good communication skills, keeps colleagues informed
  • Remains focused can work to meet deadlines

Health, Safety & Environmental:

  • Basic understand of Health and Safety requirements
  • Has a basic understanding of Environmental requirements
  • Achieves group H&S standards on site when visiting
  • Understands the H, S & E procedures within Group

Technical:

  • Demonstrates some technical knowledge of engineering principles
  • Has an understanding of the construction sequence of typical Civil Engineering activities

Programme & Progress:

  • Works with Project Team to ensure programme sequence, constraints and key dates are understood
  • Maintains a realistic Contract Programme with accurate logic, constraints, calendars, outputs, correctly progressed
  • Maintains & Updates an Accurate Programme Register
  • Manages the Cl32 Programme Submission & Acceptance Process
  • Basic understanding of Contract Requirements for Programme (NEC Cl31,32 and Cl62)
  • Develops Cl62 impact Programmes for issue with Compensation Events
  • Attends Project Meetings providing Programme and Planning Insight

Commercial:

  • Basic understanding of commercial reporting requirements
  • Can assist in production of variations and quotations

Record Keeping/Progress Reporting:

  • Attends weekly internal meetings
  • Attends client Progress meetings
  • Produces Monthly Programme Reporting Dashboard
  • Produces Narrative with each revision of the Contract Programme


Quality:

  • Maintains the Contract Programme using best practice procedures
  • Has a basic understanding of Sector QA and demonstrates buy in by compliance
