Overall Objective:

Control of all day-to-day activities on civil engineering (plot works) schemes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements and Company Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems
  • Assess the environmental impact and risks connected to projects
  • Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements
  • Ensure technical compliance and the safety of all operational activities
  • Monitor progress against programme, take off and call off materials in advance of work
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, variation reports for the scheme
  • Prepare detailed weekly lookahead programmes
  • Schedule and manage resources to deliver site works 
  • Provide accurate records and measurement details to enable the Quantity Surveyor to prepare monthly valuations 
  • Support the planning, design and management of projects
  • Manage information flow and identify technical queries
  • Ensure exceptional levels of customer care

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Computer literate, including Microsoft suit of applications
  • CSCS Site Supervisor (Gold)
  • Experience working in plot sector of new build projects/sites
  • 5 day Site Managers Safety Training Scheme certificate
  • Experience of civil engineering scheme of values £100k - £2million
  • First aid at work certificate desirable
  • Full clean UK driving licence
